4-OP-C-7-B12 Recruiting Incentives (Amendment)
Notice Period: August 12 — September 4, 2026
Purpose: This policy provides guidance for determining eligibility and procedures for recruiting incentives, including sign-on bonuses, direct payment of moving expenses, temporary housing, and related incidentals to attract highly qualified individuals into positions deemed as critical to the mission and operation of the University.
Summary of Changes: This revision expands Sign-on Bonus eligibility to Postdoctoral Scholars at the discretion of the Chief Human Resources Officer and as deemed applicable by the appropriate Vice President and Sponsored Research Administration, where required. The revision also includes clarifying language updates for Moving Expenses and Temporary Housing to reflect the University’s use of fringe benefits rates.
