Summary:
- The proposed amendment makes a number of technical updates and wording improvements. It also includes all visiting scholars, paid and unpaid, foreign and domestic; clarifies the Exchange Visitors Program; clarifies the application to students; limits specified terms to two years with possible extension; provides specific definitions, criteria and limitations for the categories of Visiting Scholars and Graduate Students; amends duties of Institution and Faculty and clarifies issues regarding certain fees and insurance.

FSU 7A-21 Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Summary:
The revision was necessary to comply with the new F.S. 1012.977. The significant changes are as follows:
- Florida law requires proper disclosure of outside financial interests that may affect the integrity of the institution
- For disclosures related to compliance with Florida law, FSU adopts the definitions of “financial interest” and “outside activity” contained in section 1012.977, Florida Statutes.
- Added that Institutional Official shall consider the following among other issues:
- Whether the research involves participation in a foreign government talent recruitment program; or
- Whether the research involves the potential for interference by a foreign government or actor.
- If it is determined that the Investigator’s failure to disclose could constitute a violation of section 1012.977, Florida Statutes, the Investigator shall be suspended without pay pending the 60-day investigatory period.

Purpose of Policy:
This document establishes who can qualify as a principal investigator or co-investigator for extramural funding through Florida State University.
Summary:
- Added “College of Medicine clerkship faculty” to the list of examples where job codes are not listed and that the Vice President for Research has to specifically approve (as long as chair/dean approve).
- Changed the reference from “Proposal Transmittal Form” to “RAMP Grants.”

- Eliminates duplicate language related to back in parking
- Requires payment for all metered and designated hourly parking spaces

FSU 2.024 Tuition and Fees (Amendment)
Purpose of Amendment:
The proposed regulation amendment continues tuition and fees for undergraduate and graduate students at the same rates for the 2020-20211 Academic Year. There is no change in these fees from the prior year.
It also adopts a change in the name of the degree program for Nurse Anesthesia taught at the Panama City, Florida Campus. National standards require a change of the degree from a Master of Science-Nurse Anesthesia to a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP). The cost per semester for tuition and fees for this professional program will remain the same though the doctorate program will be for an additional length.
