Purpose: This policy provides details of university holidays and guidance in the accrual and use of compensatory leave for USPS, A&P, and AEX employees.

4-OP-E-5 Emergency Management (Amendment)
Notice Period: May 18 — June 8, 2026
Purpose: To establish and maintain a framework by which the University prepares for, responds to, recovers from, and mitigates against the effects of a wide range of emergencies and disasters, and establishes a designated Emergency Management Section within the Florida State University Public Safety Department that is empowered with the authority to administer the Emergency Management Program.
Summary of Changes: This revision incorporates criteria required by the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP); corrects the titles of university officials accountable for emergency management; succession of authority due to an official's absence or unavailability; terminology used to describe command and control; post-incident analysis and corrective action requirements.
